My paintings evolved out from sketching, drawing and deciding about the technique I'm going to use. Sometimes needed a flat more smooth surface to create a sense of place. Other times I need to achieve my visual need by using more impasto technique and layering various mediums on canvas or board.

I like to use marble dust, cold wax, to break the shine of the oil mediums. Through layer upon layer, the process becomes more dynamic but the process can take a long time. I like to paint in a dynamic manner may times. Also using water-based mediums which offer flexibility beside the oil as they are compatible with cold wax and micro glass beads. At the same time other qualities become subtraction, during development.
